Hello there!

I’ve joined the Peace Corps so I’ll be leaving in August at the latest. However I’d still really like to get to know some new people, and perhaps someone special if things work out right.

I’ve a very lucky person because my work is my passion; I’d be doing it regardless so it’s nice to get paid for it. I like surrounding myself with other people who are immersed in their passions or who are actively looking to discover them.

I love issues that are not clear cut and can't be solved by a quick trip to Wikipedia. My curiosity will needle me until I final and answer if I get a really good question into my head.

I'm honest and direct, which is an entertaining combination when I forget that some comments are intended to be rhetorical. It’s even more amusing when I throw a little dry humor in the mix.

I like personal growth and change and actively seek them. It always frightens me when I see an old friend who is in the same position now as they were five years ago. So come help me learn and maybe I can teach you a thing or two.

Right now I work as the Volunteer Services Coordinator for a local non-profit group.

As mentioned, I'm moving out of the country sometime before August 2009 with the Peace Corps. I don't know where I'm going yet, but I'm really hoping for Thailand, Philippines, or Cambodia.

After I come back I plan to temporarily take over the Peace Corps departments because they have some serious efficiency and quality issues. Then I'll probably go to grad school to study something(I'm not quite sure what yet, hence the Peace Corps)

Preventing or helping resolve disasters, chaos, and the occasional nuclear meltdown

Taking ideas, organizations, systems, etc apart and put them back together so they are actually useful again

Taking over stuff, but don't worry, I'd be a benevolent dictator :)

1) Books- I'm addicted. Just finished The Omnivore's Dilemma and Mountains Beyond Mountains. Moving on to The Ancestor's Tale (Dawkins) and Pathologies of power : health, human rights, and the new war on the poor .

2) Challenging projects and new ideas; I get bored easily with the same old same old
