I spend my days working for the man, but my real passions are for cooking, writing, reading, laughing at myself, and just generally carousing. I have a sharp tongue, a healthy sense of the absurd and diverse interests.

I make a mean Manhattan.

I read obsessively - fiction, non-fiction, memoirs, food writing, anything I can get my paws on, plus the New York Times, and (hangs head in mock shame) Entertainment Weekly. As a result, I'm full of fun (and sometimes even useful) facts, quotes, and thoughts.

I love finding new and fun places to eat and drink. I'm a total NPR junkie, and I'm addicted to This American Life. (Ira Glass is the thinking woman's Brad Pitt.) I love moviesand theatre, and I'm game for seeing pretty much anything, anytime - just ask.

Empowering business through technology, consuming as much culture (pop and high) as possible, cooking when I can, and wondering when I'm going to be able to buy an apartment.

I'm an awesome cook, and a pretty great hostess - kind of like a post-post-Martha Stewart, complete with nice hand towels and a truly filthy potty mouth. I kick ass at Trivial Pursuit.

I smell great.

I'm handy; I don't need anyone to program my DVR or hang my curtains, though it'd be nice to have someone around who's tall enough to change the light bulbs in the kitchen without a ladder.

I'm a superlative traveler - I'll go anywhere, anytime, and I fall asleep immediately upon boarding the plane. It's a talent.

My complete and utter willingness to make fun of you (and myself) within minutes of meeting you. It's really quite endearing, I promise.
